Diy-Thailand-3-steps

Thailand is one of the easiest and most spectacular destinations to visit, not to mention affordable! Save costs by booking your own trip in three easy steps. We will show you how…

Step 1: Decide where to go in Thailand??

Hard to decide where to go in Thailand? Where ever you decide to go, it will be awesome… Thailand is soo cool!

If you have +- 2 weeks, I would recommend that you go to one or two of the areas. If you have 3 weeks or more you can visit all the areas if you want. Just remember travelling around takes up valuable exploring, swimming and cocktail time…

The three main areas in Thailand:

Andaman Sea (Left bottom/South side of Thailand)

– Phuket
– Krabi
– Koh Lanta
– Koh Phi Phi-Ley and -Don, James Bond island etc.
– Koh Lipe

You can stay in Phuket and/or Krabi and visit all the small islands with a speed boat /ferry on day trips, or

Koh Lanta can be reached by minivan from Krabi, it is much better than the ferry.

You reach these islands by ferry or mini-van and Phuket or Krabi can be reached by plane, read this post: Getting to and around Thailand, Flights, Busses and Ferry’s

Gulf of Thailand (Right bottom/S-South East Side of Thailand)

– Koh Samui
– Koh Phangan
– Koa Tao

You can stay on only one of these islands and visit the other ones by ferry or speed boat or

Split your time between the islands, ferry’s available.

Koh Samui can be reached by Air from Bangkok Phuket etc, or by bus and ferry.

Read about more options in the following post: Getting to and around Thailand, Flights, Busses and Ferry’s

Bangkok/Koh Chang (Top/ Central-North of Thailand)

– Chiang Mai
– Koh Chang
– Bangkok

Fly via Bangkok to do some shopping.

Chiang Mai is far north, where Koh Chang is South-East from Bangkok and very close to Cambodia.

Chiang Mai can be reached by air, rail and car or bus.
Koh Chang is reached by minivan(suggested) and ferry.

    Hi Leanne
